Atlantic Soccer Camp Program
The Atlantic Soccer Camp is only offered in Cape Henlopen, a beautiful resort community on the beach just north of Rehobeth Beach, Delaware. Campers not only receive professional soccer instruction on 7 beautiful grass fields, but also enjoy the surf and sun of the Atlantic Ocean, playing sand soccer on the beach, view specially selected soccer videos in the evenings and enjoy fully chaperoned excursions to Rehobeth Beach, Delaware.
Our Camp staff includes former professional players, United States Soccer Federation licensed professional coaches, current and former state ODP coaches and an NCAA Division I All-American as well as several other men's and women's NCAA Division I players. The camp features a ratio of one instructor for every 10 to 12 campers. Our Camp Director is Anthony "Bo" Amato.
Campers stay in a dormitory with a full time resident counselor for every dorm room of 12 to 14 residents. There are separate dormitories for boys and girls. The dorms are in a secure area and at night the main park gate and the Youth Camp gate are locked. Park rangers are on patrol 24 hours a day. Campers are restricted to the camp area, except for beach breaks and the chaperoned trip to Rehobeth Beach. Dorm rooms have electrical outlets and ceiling fans.
The Atlantic Soccer Camp is open to all interested campers, regardless of state of residence, club affiliation or soccer playing experience. Special discounts are available for teams and multiple players from the same family. Campers who live in or close to Annandale, Virginia may be considered for special advanced programs and opportunities available through out the year in Northern Virginia.
The camp covers the fundamentals of soccer, with sessions broken down to include ball handling, dribbling, receiving, shooting, heading, passing, tackling, goalkeeping and offensive and defensive tactics. It also includes fun games used to motivate and prepare players for the upcoming season.
Cape Henlopen State Park is on the ocean with the constant smell of salt water, a gentle sea breeze averaging 5 MPH, grass playing fields, park store, ice machine and a Delaware State life guarded beach. Meals and beverages are provided for all residential campers. Daily lunch with beverage is provided for day campers.
